Library Scores Again
Supporters of the Gulf Beaches Library showed their resolve and bucked cloudy skies and icy winds to make the third annual Food for Thought celebration another success. North Redington Beach Commissioner Richard Bennett, who chaired the event, reported proceeds of roughly $8,500, matching the results of the first two galas.
The total was helped by a $1,000 contribution from one business that helped with the event’s promotion. That made up for a slight drop in attendance, due mostly to the extraordinary weather.
Bennett said a fourth gala is already being planned for 2011, but this one will be held on March 5.
